about

The 4th Nice Cans release. This record took 3 months to make and it doesn't really show. Following the success of their breakout Xmas EP, Stocking Full of Cans, the Cans had to spend some time thinking about stuff.

Some of these songs were written in a parking lot where Danny and Dan would meet up over lunch to sing ideas to each other. One of those epiphanies was So Sad.

After seeing an ambiguous relationship between an old dude with a much younger lady at a bowling alley, the Cans wrote the 2000s version of Don't Stand So Close To Me, that being the instant classic, Handlebar Mustache Guy.

Winona Then? also includes the proggy and philosophical Dark Ryes, Dark Eyes that asks the eternal question 'if two sides are rhythm and light, what's the third?"

If you never heard this record before, Winona Then?
